For almost a decade now, Swedish duo Rickard
Berglof and Robert Elster have been pumping out
tracks from their Cloud 99 Studios, helping to
create the sound what is modern progressive dance
music. With nearly 100 released productions to
their name and gigs in all corners of the globe,
they are without a doubt one of the most
sought-after and respected trance acts in the
world today.
seminal releases of 2006 and firmly established
Vibrasphere back on the scene with praising words
from press / djs and exceptional sales. In the
fall of 2006, Vibrasphere also made a successful
transition to a wider audience with their smash
hit single "Floating Free" being picked up by
superstar djs Armin Van Buuren and Markus Schulz
for their radio shows which then also fueled an
encore interest in Archipelago and radio rotation
by the 2 aforementioned and heaps others
followed. The result has been Vibrasphere tracks
being played by the likes of Christofer Lawrence,
Markus Schulz, Armin Van Buuren, Menno de Jong
and John 00 Fleming plus a whole new generation
of Vibrasphere fans. A row of licenses to both
Archipelago and the Floating Free single include
compilations like Armada Trance vol 1 (by Armin
Van Buuren) and Gatecrasher Live (by Christopher
Lawrence).
This move into a new scene has prompted Richard
and Robert to start working on a new album
Exploring the Tributaries, to be released in May
2007. As the title implies, this album will
showcase a somewhat different side of their
production- more experimental in nature it will
range from downbeat/lounge right the way through
to more club oriented material as well as
minimal/electro. Preceeded by a 12 inch in April,
Exploring the Tributaries will no doubt be a
fresh step in a new direction for one of
progressive musics biggest and most respected
names- no doubt again they will
help to forge a new direction for the electronic
music scene.
The remixers
From the beginning of this project weve had in
mind to create an album of a very broad musical
spectrum to reflect what kinds of music inspires
us ... on the dancefloor, chilling at home,
riding the bike to work – you name it! From
floating chill via minimal, deep & progressive
trance to kicking trance at the other end of the
rainbow – the artists have delivered precisely
what we had in mind and as such we are equally
proud to now deliver this mother of a musical
journey to you! enjoy!!
