This introductory course in Toxik will teach you how to navigate through the new toxik workflow and interface, how to work with high resolution and high bit depth files in various formats and sizes. This is designed to be an overview of the software, covering the underlying structure and operation of Toxik. The collaborative environment of Toxik 2007 is a new paradigm in visual effects software, so many of the features as well as pitfalls are covered in the course. This course goes hand in hand with TOX102, which covers more footage and project-based examples to tackle shots. These two courses together provide a firm foundation upon which artists can begin using the software.

Professor and Dean John Montgomery has been involved as an end user in the development of Toxik since the early days and brings his unique insights to the course.
